After completing third weekend on good and better note than new offerings, couple of weeks back released Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan still have enough hold over the audience nationwide. Both are enjoying steady run at box office due to favorable response of viewers.
Superstar Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta & Sanjay Mishra starrer historical action drama Baadshaho received mixed reviews from critics, but got succeed to entertain most of the audience. In the opening week, it did the business of 64.14 crores, that included 43.30 crores of weekend and 20.84 crores of weekdays from 2800 screens.
Then in the second week, Milan Luthria’s directorial dropped by around 80% and raked the business of 12.43 crores with 7.73 crores in weekend and 4.70 crores in weekdays. In the third weekend, it bagged the amount of 1.45 crore including 0.41 crore of Friday, 0.49 crore of Saturday and 0.55 crore of Sunday. After 17 days, total collection of Baadshaho was recorded as 78.02 crores.
While on the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer romantic comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan received better reviews and emerged as year’s 7th hit from Bollywood. In the opening week, it registered the business of 24.03 crores, that included 14.46 crores of weekend and 9.57 crores of weekdays from 1400 screens.
In the second week, RS Prasanna’s directorial dropped by 51% and collected the amount of 11.73 crores with 7.83 crores in weekend and 3.90 crores in weekdays. In the third weekend as well, the movie remained good and garnered 3.42 crores including 0.65 crore of Friday, 1.26 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. After 17 days, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan raised it’s total collection to 39.18 crores.
Now once again both the movies have been entered in weekdays and started getting lower footfalls in theaters. On 3rd Monday, Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan witnessed considerable drop than Friday and added the amount of 0.12 crore and 0.50 crore respectively to their accounts.
