18th Day Collection of Tubelight, Salman’s War Drama Counts Last Days at Box Office

It is very disappointing to know, that superstar Salman Khan‘s immensely buzzed Tubelight is ready to end it’s run within three weeks of release at box office. Due to mixed reviews of critics as well as audience, the movie got failed to keep hold and dropped abruptly after the opening weekend.

After under-performed two weeks, now Tubelight is running in third week and getting limited footfalls across the country. Due to several new offerings, it has become more difficult for this denied war drama to survive at box office for further.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight did the business of only 0.48 crore in it’s third weekend, that included 0.14 crore of Friday, 0.16 crore of Saturday and 0.18 crore of Sunday. Now it is in weekdays once again, and witnessing lower occupancy than before.

Following the same regressive pattern, Salman Khan – Sohail Khan – Zhu Zhu – Isha Talwar starrer recorded considerable dip on third Monday than last Friday and minted the amount of 0.07 crore at domestic box office.

While in the opening week, Tubelight fetched the amount of 106.86 crores, with 64.77 crores in weekend and 42.09 crores in weekdays from approx. 4400 screens in India. With disastrous fall in footfalls, it raked the business of only 11.65 crores in it’s second week, including 8.25 crores of weekend and 3.40 crores of weekdays.

So as per reports total collection of Tubelight from Indian screens after 18 days of release, has become 119.06 crores nett i.e. 165.36 crores gross. From overseas market, the movie has grossed approx. 45.75 crores so far and raised it’s worldwide gross total to 211.11 crores.
