Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte’s latest collaboration, the social drama Padman is now running in its third week with some sort of hold over the audience across India. Due to existing Padmaavat and newly released Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, the movie has slowed down considerably.
Directed by R.Balki, Padman has become hit at the box office though, but the performance is not that impressive despite a strong word of mouth. Just after a week, the movie got slowed down and now ready to wind up below the mark of 85 crores.
After the 2 decent weeks, Twinkle Khanna’s debut production showed slight growth over the third weekend but still remained low. It did the business of total 2.30 crores, that included 0.50 crore of Friday, 0.80 crore of Saturday and 1 crore of Sunday.
Now the movie is experiencing weekdays and as usual getting a lesser response than before. On 3rd Monday, it minted the amount of 0.35 crore after a drop of 30% than Friday. On the next day i.e. 3rd Tuesday with further dip, Padman bagged 0.30 crore and raised 19 days total collection to 79.60 crores at the domestic box office.
In the first week, Akshay Kumar starrer did the business of total 76.65 crores that included 40.05 crores of the weekend and 22.82 crores of weekdays. Then in the second week, it dropped by 78% and collected 13.78 crores with 9.03 crores on the weekend and 4.75 crores on weekdays.
