After the two successful weeks, Hindi horror comedy Stree has passed its third weekend as well on a solid note and still has enough hold over the audience on weekdays. Made with a budget of 20 crores, Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer has turned out a big bonus for its investors, as the movie has already crossed the 100-crore mark domestically.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained a solid word of mouth. As a result, it did the business of 60.39 crores in the opening week, that included 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays from 1950 screens
In the second week as well, Dinesh Vijan’s production maintained a very good pace and registered the business of 35.14 crores with 21.90 crores on the weekend and 13.24 crores on weekdays from 1770 screens. After 2 weeks, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 95.53 crores.
Now Stree is running in its third week and passed the third weekend on an excellent note despite several new Hindi offerings. On 3rd Friday, it raked the business of 2.14 crores after a drop of 43.10% than the previous day. Over the weekend, it took a healthy jump and minted 3.76 crores on 3rd Saturday & 4.75 crores on 3rd Sunday.
After that with a usual drop due to normal working day, AA Films’ presentation bagged the amount of 1.87 crores on 3rd Monday. On the next day i.e. 3rd Tuesday, it collected 1.60 crores and raised 19 days total collection to 109.65 crores. With this, Stree has surpassed the lifetime total collection of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (108.95 crores).
