1st Day Box Office Collection of Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and Stree across India

The new Hindi offerings of this week Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and Stree have reported unexpected performances. The one which is backed by the popular franchise has got a low response while the one with lower pre-release buzz has taken a good start at the domestic box office.

Directed by Navaniat Singh, the madcap comedy Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is the third installment of franchise Yamla Pagla Deewana starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol & Bobby Deol in lead roles. Unfortunately, the movie has received mixed reviews from the critics which hampered its performance.

On the opening day, YPD Phir Se took a low start with an occupancy of 10% for the morning shows. Over the evening and night shows, it witnessed not much growth and registered the business of 1.82 crores, which is quite lesser than its predecessors.

On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi starrer horror comedy Stree has got succeed to entertain most of the critics as well as the audience and gained a positive word of mouth. Directed by Amar Kaushik, it is based on an unusual plot but still got a good response.

On Friday, Stree opened on a strong note with 40% occupancy across the country. Post noon shows, it showed a decent growth in footfalls in multiplexes and minted the amount of 6.83 crores. It is expected to show a healthy growth over the weekend due to positive word of mouth.
