1st Day Collection of Munna Michael- Tiger Shroff’s Film Takes Decent Opening

Director Sabbir Khan’s third film with Tiger Shroff, Munna Michael has been released at box office on Friday and unfortunately witnessed lesser footfalls in theaters across the country than expected. Their last two films were successful, so everyone has good expectations with the latest one too.

Tiger Shroff is one of the most favorite young actors in Bollywood and has huge fan following among teenagers, this is why Munna Michael had good buzz pre release. But still got failed to divert expected number of audience toward itself on the opening day.

Along with Tiger, Munna Michael stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhhi Agerwal in pivotal roles. All three have given their best in the film but the one that steals the show with his acting is none other than Nawazuddin.

Despite the good efforts of actors, the film is getting mixed reviews from critics because of it’s weak story. While fans as well as most of the viewers have found it entertaining because of Tiger’s full fledged action & dance.

On the opening day, Munna Michael recorded decent occupancy on single screens, while low on multiplexes for the morning shows. Due to mixed reactions of critics, it remained almost flat till evening and picked up little in multiplexes after that.

With overall 20-25% of occupancy, Munna Michael registered the decent opening business of 6.65 crores on Friday from 3000 screens across the country. With this, it has emerged as the tenth highest opener of the year so far in Hindi cinema and third highest of Tiger’s career.

As most of the viewers are showing thumbs up for Munna Michael, so it might take decent jump over the weekend. On the other hand, another Hindi offering Lipstick Under My Burkha getting positive reviews from critics as well as viewers and minted the amount of 1.22 crore from 400 screens.
