1st Day Collection of Sui Dhaaga & Pataakha, Varun-Anushka starrer takes a Decent Start

The major release of this Friday, Sui Dhaaga- Made in India has opened on a decent note with positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Although, due to the Asia Cup 2018 Final cricket match between India & Bangladesh, it didn’t witness a fair growth in footfalls post noon shows but has gained a good word of mouth.

Directed by the promising director Sharat Katariya who had directed the much-loved Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Sui Dhaaga has got succeed to hit the target right as expected and received mostly positive reviews from the viewers, which will help to take a healthy jump over the weekend.

On Friday, being a content-driven movie Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma starrer took an average start with 15-20% occupancy across 2500 screens in India. With a limited jump over the evening and night shows due to a cricket match, it registered the opening business of 8.30 crores nett at the domestic box office.

Now, as Sui Dhaaga is getting positive feedback and also there is no competition from the previous releases, this romantic comedy-drama is expected to take a good jump over the weekend and to remain steady on weekdays as well in multiplexes.

In parallel, Vishal Bhardwaj’s unconventional comedy-drama Pataakha is also getting a positive response from viewers. But as it is restricted to a particular segment of the audience, Sanya Malhotra & Radhika Madan starrer remained dull throughout the opening day and minted 0.90 crore from 875 screens nationwide.
