Last biggie of the year, Tiger Zinda Hai has been released on Friday at box office and as expected opened to a massive note. Starring one of the most loved pairs in Bollywood of superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, this action thriller is impressing everyone across the globe.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and resumes the story eight years after from where the first part was ended. Yash Raj Films’ new venture has high octane action and the outstanding performances given by Salman & Katrina.
From most of the critics, the movie is getting positive remarks while audience is showing big thumbs up to it. On the opening day, TZH started the journey with a whopping occupancy of approx. 80% across the country and also witnessed good growth over evening & night shows.
With almost equal contribution from single and multi screens, Tiger Zinda Hai has raked the business of 34.10 crores at domestic box office from 4600 screens. With this, it has registered the highest opening of the year in Bollywood by dominating Golmaal Again (30.14 crores).
Now Tiger Zinda Hai has also emerged as the sixth biggest opener of all time in Hindi cinema and third of Salman Khan‘s career so far. In 2012, Ek Tha Tiger did the opening business of 32.93 crores, while Salman’s last collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar Sultan reported 36.54 crores on day-1.
