This Friday four new Hindi offerings are being released at box office, that include A Gentleman, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Qaidi Band and Sniff. Among these, only the first two have some pre-release hype because of star power and expected to open on decent note. While the fate of rest two depend on the reactions of critics and viewers.
Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer A Gentleman is the biggest release of this week from Bollywood and has promoted on a good scale. Directed by Raj & DK, the movie has made decent impact on audience with it’s promos and music.
After a desi stuff like Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Bareilly Ki Barfi, A Gentleman is like a change in taste with hard hitting actions and new age romance. So Sidharth-Jacqueline starrer seems to open on a decent note with 5.50-6.50 crores of business across India.
While Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is small budgeted crime drama movie which also has decent buzz among audience because of it’s interesting promos. But it is ‘A’ certified, so doesn’t attract family & under-18 audience.
Undoubtedly Nawazuddin is the major USP of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and on his name, it can gather enough audience in theaters to rake the business of around 1.50-2 crores on Friday domestically.
On the other hand, musical drama Qaidi Band which starring newcomers has no buzz among audience despite being backed by Yash Raj Films. Another one, the adventure thriller Sniff also does’t have any buzz due to low promotions and these both are expected to remain below 0.50 crore on opening day.
