2.0 16th Day Box Office Collection, Crosses 179 Crores with its Hindi version by 3rd Friday

The biggest film in Indian history, 2.0 continues to score well at the box office even after 2 weeks despite new offerings in its parallel. Marks the first collaboration of superstar Rajinikanth & Akshay Kumar, it was released with humongous buzz and as expected made a solid impact on viewers with its stupendous VFX & relevant story.

Directed by the very promising S.Shankar, the Tamil sci-fi action thriller 2.0 is showing phenomenal performance at the box office since its release. Even with its dubbed Hindi version only, the film did the business of 139.75 crores in the extended opening week, that included 97.25 crores in the 4-days weekend & 42.50 crores on weekdays.

Then in the second week as well, Dharma Productions & AA Films’ presentation managed to remain good and collected 38 crores with 27 crores in the weekend and 11 crores on weekdays. After 2 weeks, the total collection of 2.0 (Hindi) was recorded at 177.75 crores.

Now the sequel to 2010’s Enthiran (Robot) has just entered in the third weekend and has Hollywood biggie Aquaman in the opposite along with last week released Kedarnath. On 3rd Friday, with a drop of 26.32% than the previous day, it minted 1.40 crore and raised 16 days total collection to 179.15 crores.

At the domestic box office including all the versions- Hindi, Tamil & Telugu, Lyca Productions’ 2.0 has raked the business of 389 crores in the last 2 weeks with 325 crores in the first & 64 crores in the second week. On 3rd Friday, the film bagged 4.50 crores and raised its 16 days total to 393.50 crores nett (546.50 crores gross).

After 16 days, the total worldwide gross collection of Rajini-Akshay starrer has become 685 crores including the business of 138.50 crores gross from the overseas market.
