2 Weeks Total Collection, Lipstick Under My Burkha Remains Steady While Munna Michael Crashes

Couple of weeks back released action-dance movie Munna Michael had completed it’s opening week on an almost decent note but got failed to sustain in the second week and dropped abruptly. While the adjacent lower buzzed Lipstick Under My Burkha remained steady in the second week as well.

Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhhi Agerwal starrer Munna Michael was released with decent buzz among fans as well as teenage audience. But unfortunately received mixed reviews from critics as well as viewers and got failed to perform as per expectations.

In the opening week, Sabbir Khan’s directorial did the business of 31.62 crores, that included 21.67 crores of weekend and 9.95 crores of weekdays from 3000 screens across the country. In the second weekend due to new offerings Mubarakan, Indu Sarkar & Raag Desh it dropped abruptly and collected only 1.36 crore with 0.38 crore on Friday, 0.46 crore on Saturday and 0.52 crore on Sunday.

Then in weekdays, with further drops Munna Michael minted the amount of 0.27 crore on Monday, 0.25 crore on Tuesday and 0.22 crore on Wednesday. On Thursday, it bagged 0.20 crore and raised it’s 2 weeks domestic total to 33.92 crores.

On the other hand, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur starrer black drama Lipstick Under My Burkha was released with an average buzz but received positive reviews from most of the critics as well as audience.

In the opening week, it did the business of 10.96 crores that included 5.80 crores of weekend and 5.16 crores of weekdays from 400 screens. In the second weekend, despite several new releases it remained steady and collected 3.76 crores with 0.94 crore on Friday, 1.37 crore on Saturday and 1.45 crore on Sunday.

Then in weekdays, with usual drops Alankrita Shrivastava’s directorial raked the business of 0.64 crore on Monday, 0.68 crore on Tuesday, 0.64 crore on Wednesday and 0.57 crore on Thursday. With this, it’s 2 weeks total collection has become 17.25 crores at domestic box office.
