21st Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Crosses 131 Crore Total in 3 Weeks Domestically

Superstar Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s first movie together, Toilet Ek Prem Katha has received huge appreciation from critics as well as audience across the globe. With it’s solid content, the movie has impressed everyone and also showed wonderful performance at box office.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha is inspired by true incidents endorsing the PM Modi’s campaign ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan‘. Due to strong word of mouth, it had emerged as the third highest grossing movie of 2017 within the 2 weeks of release.

In the first week, this satirical romantic drama was recorded amazing response from audience throughout and garnered the business of 96.05 crores. It was included 51.45 crores of weekend and 44.60 crores of weekdays from around 3000 screens across the country.

In the second week as well, despite having several new offerings in opposite the movie remained good and did the business of 28.35 crores with 19 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. Then in the third week, it slowed down due to new releases but still fared well enough.

In the third weekend, TEPK raked the business of 4.50 crores with 1 crore of Friday, 1.50 crore of Saturday and 2 crores of Sunday. In weekdays, the movie got more lower footfalls and added the amount of 0.70 crore on Monday, 0.60 crore on Tuesday and 0.65 crore on Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. 3rd Thursday, Toilet Ek Prem Katha reported some drop and collected the amount of 0.55 crore. With this total 3 weeks collection of Akshay-Bhumi starrer has become 131.40 crores at domestic box office. From the new week, Baadshaho & Shubh Mangal Saavdhan are also being participated in the race.
