21st Day: Kapoor and Sons Total Collection after 3 Weeks in India

‘Kapoor and Sons’ 21 Days Total Collection Report

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s latest much appreciated family entertainer ‘Kapoor and Sons’ has completed its 3 weeks journey at box office with proud. The movie has been started with decent initial buzz, but received very positive reviews from critics as well as audience. This positive response has generated strong word of mouth about it and made its third highest grosser movie of the year so far after Airlift and Neerja. Kapoor and Sons has already crossed the mark of 100 cr at worldwide box office excluding the distribution shares.

In the opening week, it had reported impressive response and minted the amount of 46.93 cr from Indian screens, that includes 35.93 cr of weekend and 11 crores of weekdays. In the second week it raked total 18.14 cr more, that includes 12.08 cr of weekend and 6.10 cr of weekdays. Despite of new release Ki and Ka, Kapoor and Sons witnessed excellent in its third weekend and raked 3.95 cr, including 0.90 cr of Friday, 1.45 cr of Saturday and 1.60 cr of Sunday. After 17 days journey, total collection of the movie was recorded as 69.02 cr from India and 43.71 cr from overseas.

In weekdays of its third week, as expected it faced considerable drops through out but still stands better than newer release Rocky Handsome. It has done the business of 2.55 cr, that includes 0.70 cr of Monday, 0.80 cr of Tuesday, 0.55 cr of Wednesday and 0.50 cr of Thursday. Till the end of its 3rd week, total domestic collection of Kapoor and Sons is recorded as 71.57 cr.
