2nd Day Collection of Deadpool 2, American Superhero Movie Remains Strong on Saturday

Despite being ‘A’ certified, the latest Hollywood offering Deadpool 2 is getting superb response from the audience across India. Sequel to the very successful 2016’s Deadpool, this superhero movie took an excellent start in India and witnessed a healthy growth in footfalls on Saturday as well due to positive reactions from the viewers.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience for its crazy story-line and kickass actions. As expected the movie has got succeed to impress the Indian audience and getting a noticeable response here despite Raazi, ongoing IPL and Ramadan.

On the opening day, the new presentation of Marvel Studios took a solid start in the morning and also recorded good growth over the evening and night shows. With an overall 35-40% of occupancy across 2000 screens in India, the movie registered the opening of 11.25 crores.

With such an excellent opening, Deadpool 2 has emerged as the 4th highest opener of the year so far and the 3rd highest Hollywood opener of all time at the Indian box office. Then on Saturday, due to ‘A’ certification, it showed slight drop but still remained strong and minted the amount of 10.65 crores.

With this, the total collection of the movie after 2 days has become 21.90 crores nett across India. As per current trend, it seems to rake over 35 crores by this weekend. At the worldwide box office, it is all set to register a heroic opening weekend for R rated movie.
