2nd Day Collection of DJ Duvvada Jagannadham, Allu Arjun’s Film Hijacks South Indian Box Office

This Friday two much awaited Indian films have been released at box office. One is Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer Tubelight and the other is Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun starrer Duvvada Jagannadham. Although Salman is a bigger star, but Arjun’s latest offering has taken comparatively bigger start than his.

Arjun is one of the most popular superstars in South India and has huge fan following. This is why, his new action comedy Duvvada Jagannadham has been released with enormous buzz among fans as well as Telugu audience across the country as well as overseas.

Harish Shankar’s directorial Telugu film recorded excellent occupancy on the opening day on around 1000 screens and registered the record opening of 18.40 crores nett. across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. While on the other hand, Tubelight fetched 21.15 crores nett. across India with 4350 screens.

Not only in Telugu states but in entire South India and overseas, Duvvada Jagannadham is getting outstanding response and grossed the business of approximately 33 crores worldwide on Friday.

On the next day i.e. Saturday, Allu Arjun starrer witnessed 56% of drop but still managed to stay strong and raked the business of 8.05 crores at AP/T box office. After this, total collection of Duvvada Jagannadham has become 26.45 crores nett. from there. At the worldwide box office, the film has grossed more than 50 crores in just 2 days of release.

The audience liked the film much and showing great craze in theaters. From most of the critics also, it has received positive reviews and gained good word of mouth. The positive waves are attracting more audience toward theaters, so Duvvada Jaganndham is positively expected to remain steady until Monday (Eid).
