War For The Planet Of The Apes2 Days Total Collection

This week’s new offering from Hollywood, War For The Planet Of The Apes is receiving positive reviews from critics as well as audience in India, but still not getting much response at box office. Despite rave reviews, it registered an average opening on Friday at Indian box office.

War For The Planet Of The Apes is the third installment of the critically acclaimed blockbuster American franchise that was began in 2011 with Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. Because of the success of previous movies, the third one has been released with enormous buzz among fans as well as moviegoers.

Last week released Hollywood offering Spider Man Homecoming did excellent business in India and dominated all the adjacent Hindi offerings. This is why, War For The Planet Of The Apes was also expected to come out in the same way. But unfortunately it is lagging behind the new release Jagga Jasoos despite getting far better reviews.

On the opening day, Matt Reeves’ directorial War For The Planet Of The Apes recorded only 20% of occupancy in metro cities of the country and raked the business of 2.20 crores from 1000 screens (English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu). While Jagga Jasoos fetched 8.57 crores from 1800 screens.

Despite positive word of mouth, War For The Planet Of The Apes showed 16% of jump on Saturday and garnered the business of 2.55 crores. With this, total 2 days collection of this sci-fi adventure drama has become 4.75 crores.
