Despite Diwali festivities and mixed word of mouth, the highly-awaited Hindi offering Housefull 4 has passed the opening weekend at a very good note. There are two other Hindi releases in the parallel Saand Ki Aankh & Made In China, which are struggling at the box office and have remained dull throughout.
Directed by Farhad Samji, the Hindi comedy Housefull 4 has unfortunately got failed to entertain many critics as they have found it weak in content. From the audience, the film is getting mixed reactions but still, the box office numbers are in favour considering the pre-Diwali phase.
On Friday, Akshay Kumar starrer was opened at a decent note and had eventually successfully registered the best opening of the franchise Housefull with 19.08 crores. On Saturday, the film had remained almost steady after a slight drop and did the business of 18.81 crores.
On the next day i.e. Sunday, Housefull 4 has witnessed a significant drop in footfalls due to Diwali festival and managed to collect the amount of 15.33 crores. After 3 days, the total collection of the film has become 53.22 crores nett from 3900 screens across the country.
In parallel, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh has received positive reviews from critics as well as the audience but still, it has remained dull throughout. On Friday, it had raked the business of 0.48 crore, while collected 1.08 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, it has bagged 0.91 crore and raised 2 days total collection to 2.47 crores nett.
On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer Made In China has received mixed reviews from critics and running dull better than Saand Ki Aankh. It did the business of 1 crore on Friday and 1.50 crore on Saturday. On the next day i.e. Sunday, the film has scored 1.25 crore and raised 3 days total collection to 3.75 crores nett.
