Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam Slows Down!
This Friday released, superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest offering ‘Brahmotsavam’ has completed its opening weekend journey on a decent note. The movie has been released with much excitement among fans as well as Telugu audience and also taken an excellent start on box office. But received negative reviews from critics as well as audience, which led it to face heavy drop in its business from the second day only.
On the opening day, it witnessed excellent occupancy across Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and minted the amount of 12.60 cr from there. Brahmotsavam has emerged as second highest opener of Mahesh Babu’s career so far but has got failure to acquire place in the hearts of audience. It has also become the second highest opening day grosser Telugu movie of the year so far after Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
Due to unfavorable response of audience, the movie had reported heavy drop on Saturday and minted the amount of only 3.15 cr across 900 screens of Telugu states. This big dip in the business graph was quite disappointing. After two days, total collection of Brahmotsavam was recorded as 15.75 cr.
Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, even after being holiday it witnessed slightly lesser occupancy and added the amount of 2.90 cr to its account. After a weekend, total collection of Brahmotsavam is recorded as 18.65 cr on AP/T box office. Now the movie is being entered in weekdays and not expected to get even decent response through out.
