Latest offering of Saif Ali Khan, Chef was released at box office this Friday with some expectations. But unfortunately it got failed to find a way in opposite to already existing Judwaa 2. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film is an official remake of Hollywood drama Chef that was released in 2014.

3rd Day Collection of Chef

The original one was a box office hit and got positive reviews from everyone, but it’s Indian version received mixed reviews from critics and also emerged as a disaster at box office. Starring Padmapriya Janakiraman alongside Saif, the film has completed the opening weekend but on a poor note.

On the opening day, Chef recorded very dull occupancy across the country on 1570 screens and did the business of only 1.05 crore. While the last week’s Judwaa 2 reported far better performance and minted the amount of 4.25 crores.

Then on Saturday despite being weekend, the film witnessed minimal growth and raked the business of 1.35 crore. On the next day i.e. Sunday, it showed slight more growth 1.60 crore and raised it’s first weekend total collection to 4 crores at domestic box office.

With such poor performance, Chef has been listed among top disasters of the year. Now there is no expectation from it to get considerable response from audience in weekdays. Made with a budget of approximately 15 crores, the film seems to collect only 6 crores in it’s lifetime.
