3rd Day Collection of Newton, Bhoomi & Haseena Parkar, Rajkummar Rao Starrer Beats Bigger Films

After an average opening, one of the finest Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao’s latest offering Newton has showed remarkable growth over the weekend and registered a good total in first 3-days. The film is being liked by everyone and surprisingly dominated it’s adjacent bigger films Bhoomi and Haseena Parkar.

Newton got much appreciation after the release of it’s trailer, but still due to low promotions and star power as compare to other Hindi releases, it took average start of 0.96 crore on the opening day. On the next day i.e. Saturday, the film showed impressive growth of 162.5% than Friday and minted 2.52 crores.

Then on Sunday, Amit V Masurkar’s directorial witnessed more growth and raked the business of 3.42 crores. With this, total opening weekend collection of Newton has become 6.90 crores at domestic box office from 430 screens. It is expected to perform steadily in weekdays as well.

On the other hand Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film after almost three years, Bhoomi was released with highest buzz among all three new offerings but unfortunately got mixed reviews from critics as well as audience. On the opening day, it did the business of 2.25 crores from approx. 1900 screens nationwide.

On Saturday, Omung Kumar’s directorial revenge drama took little growth and minted the amount of 2.47 crores. Then on Sunday with further jump Bhoomi managed to collect 2.76 crores and raised it’s opening weekend total domestic collection to 7.48 crores.

While Shraddha Kapoor starrer crime drama biopic Haseena Parkar was released with decent buzz but got poor reviews from critics as well as audience. On Friday, it took dull opening and registered the business of 1.87 crore from 1200 screens across the country.

On Saturday, the film refused to take any considerable jump and collected 2 crores. Then on Sunday, due to holiday Haseena Parkar showed little growth and managed to add 2.23 crore. With this, it’s first 3-days total collection has become 6.10 crores.
