This Friday released two noticeable Hindi movies comedy drama Poster Boys and crime drama Daddy have unfortunately got below-expected response at box office and completed the opening weekend on an overall low note. Both started their journey on a dull note, and got failed to take required jump in business graph over Saturday and Sunday.
Debut directorial venture of actor Shreyas Talpade, Poster Boys is the story of three common men who accidentally become the face of a vasectomy advertisement. Most of the viewers found it entertaining but still hasn’t attracted much audience across the country and also received mixed reviews from critics.
On the opening day, it opened on a dull note and did the business of only 1.75 crore which is almost half of the expected figure. On the next day i.e. Saturday due to weekend, the movie witnessed little jump but still remained low and minted the amount of 2.40 crores.
Then on Sunday with little more growth, Poster Boys raked the business of 3.10 crores and raised it’s opening weekend total to 7.25 crores at domestic box office. As per the reports, it doesn’t seem to remain steady in weekdays but anything can happen at box office, so let see.
On the other hand, Arjun Rampal starrer Daddy is the story of a gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli and it also received mixed reviews from critics. But unfortunately the movie got failed to gather enough audience in theaters outside Maharashtra.
After a dull opening of only 1.30 crore on Friday, Daddy showed slight growth on Saturday and minted 1.50 crore. Following the similar trend Ashim Ahluwalia’s directorial collected the amount of 1.80 crore and with this, it’s opening weekend total domestic collection has become 4.60 crores.
