3rd Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Earns Near 51.50 Cr Total in Opening Weekend

Superstar Akshay Kumar starrer latest offering Toilet Ek Prem Katha is all set to become his fifth consecutive successful venture in last 19 months. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, this satirical drama has got strong opening at box office and witnessed impressive jump over the weekend due to positive word of mouth.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha is starring Bhumi Pednekar opposite to Akshay Kumar and both the actors have performed their characters brilliantly well. With it’s solid content and remarkable performances, the movie has impressed all the viewers and receiving huge appreciation globally.

On the opening day, TEPK recorded decent occupancy of 20-25% for morning shows but picked up impressively well post noon and registered the sixth highest opening of the year so far in Hindi cinema with 13.10 crores. With this it has also emerged as the ninth highest opener of Akshay Kumar‘s career.

On Saturday being weekend and due to positive word of mouth, Toilet Ek Prem Katha showed good jump of 30.5% than Friday and did the business of 17.10 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Sunday, the movie recorded more growth and minted the amount of 21.25 crores.

After the opening weekend, total collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha has become 51.45 crores from around 3000 screens at domestic box office. Akshay-Bhumi starrer seems to remain strong in weekdays as well, also there is a holiday on Tuesday due to Independence Day. So it has a bonus chance to boost up it’s first week business.
