Akshay Kumar starrer family drama movie Brothers has already completed its 2 weeks journey at box office with total collection of 82.47 crores. In the second week, it faced heavy drop in its business but the performance it showed in first week was commendable. The movie has registered the highest opening of Akshay’s career and the second highest of year 2015 so far. Along with this, it has registered many records to its account at box office and become the best performer movie for Akshay.
Brothers was not received favorable reviews from critics after release, but still it registered the second highest opening week collection of the year. It is based on emotional drama genre and being the non-masala movie some critics didn’t found it up to the mark. But fans support and belief of audience on Akshay, helped movie to attain good at box office.
In its first week, Brothers was done the business of 72.60 crores that was included 52.08 crores of weekend and 20.52 crores of weekdays. In second week it faced heavy drop than expected and managed to collect 9.87 crores as week total that was included 6.10 crores of weekend and 3.77 crores of weekdays. Till the end of its 2 weeks, the total collection of Brothers was recorded as 82.47 crores.
Now the movie has entered in the third week but not doing well in opposite to new release Phantom. On Friday, it was recorded less occupancy than previous day and minted only 0.68 crore* as 15th day collection. On the next day i.e. Saturday, being weekend it resulted in out little bit higher than Friday but still low. Brothers done the business of approx. 0.82 crore* as its 16th day collection. On Sunday, the movie is expected to get more and as per estimation it would collect 0.95 – 0.97 crore* as its 17th day collection.
