4th Day Collection of KGF & Maari 2, Pass Monday on a Good Note in India

After a tremendous opening weekend, the Kannada magnum opus KGF: Chapter 1 has remained strong on Monday as well despite a normal weekday and having other major releases in its parallel. Due to a solid word of mouth, the movie is leading over the biggie Shahrukh Khan starrer Zero at the domestic box office including all the versions.

Kannada superstar Yash & Srinidhi Shetty starrer KGF was released amid the humongous buzz and expectedly took an earth-shattering start with 18.10 crores on Friday. Over the weekend, it showed a superb uptrend and minted the amount of 19.20 crores on Saturday & 22.40 crores on Sunday.

After the weekend, the total collection of Prashanth Neel’s directorial was recorded at 59.70 crores nett from 2460 screens nationwide. Now Hombale Films’ production has entered on weekdays and as usual, witnessed a considerable drop in footfalls. On Monday, it faced a decline of 25.42% than Friday and raked the business of 13.50 crores.

With this, the 4 days total domestic collection of KGF has become 73.20 crores including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam languages. From its Hindi version alone, it has raked 12.10 crores in 4 days with 2.10 crores on Friday, 3 crores on Saturday, 4.10 crores on Sunday & 2.90 crores on Monday from 1500 screens.

On the other hand, the much-awaited Tamil offering Maari 2 has got failed to create the frenzy like its prequel but still registered a solid business of 12.75 crores from Tamil Nadu in the opening weekend that included 4.50 crores on Friday, 4 crores on Saturday & 4.25 crores on Sunday.

Dhanush & Sai Pallavi starrer has now entered on weekdays and with a drop of 47.06%, it grossed the amount of 2.25 crores on Monday. After 4 days, the total collection of Balaji Mohan’s directorial has become 15 crores at the TN box office.
