After the grand opening, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War has remained super-strong throughout the extended 5-days weekend at the box office and raked more than 160 crores. With such an exceptional performance, it has registered the biggest opening weekend of the year so far in Hindi Cinema by dominating the record of Bharat (150.10 crores in 5 days).
Bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the biggest Hindi action-thriller has expectedly got succeed to impress almost everyone in theatres with its jaw-dropping action & stunts. From critics also, it has received mostly positive reviews and gathered a strong word of mouth.
On Wednesday, due to a public holiday of Gandhi Jayanti, War was opened at a fantastic note and registered the biggest opening of all time in Hindi Cinema with 53.35 crores. Afterwards, it had recorded a usual drop in footfalls and minted the amount of 24.35 crores on Thursday & 22.45 crores on Friday.
On Saturday, Siddharth Anand’s directorial had picked up again and garnered the business of 28.70 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, the film has managed to collect 37.40 crores and raised its 5 days total collection to 166.25 crores nett at the domestic box office from 4200 screens including 159.70 crores from Hindi and 6.55 crores from Tamil & Telugu versions.
On the other hand, Telugu biggie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has completed a weekend at a phenomenal note in the South but unfortunately got failed to get the desired response from the audience in the North. On Wednesday, it had raked the business of only 2.60 crores from its Hindi version.
After a significant decline from the next day, it had managed to collect 1.25 crore on Thursday, 1.05 crore on Friday, and 1.20 crore on Saturday. On the next day i.e. Sunday, Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer has managed to collect 1.40 crore and raised its 5 days total collection to 7.50 crores nett.
