5th Day Collection of Bhoomi, Newton & Haseena Parkar, Rajkummar Starrer Runs Steadily

After a good opening weekend, Rajkummar Rao’s recent offering Newton is heading smoothly in weekdays as well. Despite having bigger movies Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi and Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena Parkar, it showed remarkable growth over the weekend and getting higher response in weekdays.

The black comedy Newton is directed by Amit V Masurkar and starring several talented actors of the industry, Raghubir Yadav, Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjay Mishra alongside Rajkummar Rao. As always all have given brilliant performances and are being appreciated by everyone.

In the opening weekend, Newton did the business of 6.90 crores, that included 0.96 crore of Friday, 2.52 crores of Saturday and 3.42 crores of Sunday from 430 screens across the country. Now the movie is running in weekdays and still has good hold over the audience.

On Monday, Newton remained higher than Friday and raked the business of 1.31 crore. Then with similar response on Tuesday, it minted the amount of 1.34 crore and raised it’s 5 days total collection to 9.55 crores at domestic box office.

On the other hand, Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi was released with decent buzz but got failed to impress critics and most of audience. In the opening weekend, it registered the business of 7.48 crores, that included 2.25 crores of Friday, 2.47 crores of Saturday and 2.76 crores of Sunday from 1900 screens.

In weekdays, it is getting lower footfalls in theaters than Newton. On Monday, Bhoomi collected 0.85 crore with 62% of drop than Friday. Then on Tuesday with further drop, Sanjay Dutt starrer bagged 0.80 crore and raised it’s 5 days total collection to 9.13 crores.

While Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena Parkar took disastrous start at box office and has got poor reviews from critics as well as audience. In the first weekend, it did the business of 6.10 crores, that included 1.87 crore of Friday, 2 crores of Saturday and 2.23 crores of Sunday from 1200 screens.

In weekdays Haseena Parkar is witnessing regular drops due to negative word of mouth. On Monday, it bagged the amount of 0.60 crore, and 0.55 crore on Tuesday. With this, total 5 days collection of Shraddha Kapoor starrer has become 7.25 crores.
