5th Day Collection of Tumbbad, Helicopter Eela, Jalebi & FryDay at the Indian Box Office

After an overall decent weekend, producer Aanand L Rai’s Tumbbad is heading steadily on weekdays as well. With its solid content, the movie has impressed many in theaters and also received mostly positive reviews from the critics. As a result, it has taken a lead over all the adjacent Hindi offerings released this Friday.

Fantasy horror movie Tumbbad opened on a dull note due to less awareness in the audience & clutter at the box office. But over the weekend, it showed a healthy uptrend and did the business of 3.25 crores that included 0.65 crore on Friday, 1.15 crores on Saturday & 1.45 crores on Sunday.

Now Rahi Anil Barve, Anand Gandhi, Adesh Prasad’s directorial is running on weekdays and because of positive word of mouth, it is heading steadily. On Monday, the movie remained higher than Friday and collected 0.70 crore. Then on Tuesday, it minted 0.60 crore and raised 5 days total to 4.55 crores.

On the other hand, director Pradeep Sarkar’s Helicopter Eela starring Kajol, has received mixed reviews from the critics and struggling to attract enough audience towards theaters. In the opening weekend, it did the business of 3.10 crores. Now on weekdays, it got dropped abruptly and collected 0.40 crore on Monday & 0.35 crore on Tuesday to take 5 days total to 3.85 crores.

Mahesh Bhatt’s presentation Jalebi has also received mixed reviews from the critics but still remained low in the weekend with 1.70 crores. Now on weekdays as well, it is struggling and minted the amount of 0.25 crore on Monday & 0.20 crore on Tuesday. With this, its 5 days total collection has become 2.15 crores.

Govinda & Varun Sharma’s first-ever collaboration FryDay has emerged a disaster at the box office. With mixed feedback, it did the business of 1.20 crores in the weekend. With usual drop on weekdays, the movie 0.15 crore on Monday & 0.15 crore on Tuesday, and raised its 5 days total collection to 1.50 crores.
