After a considerable drop on Monday, director Anees Bazmee’s latest venture Mubarakan heading steadily at box office. Being clean family entertainer it attracts major segment of audience, but unfortunately it has only this week to prove it’s potential as from coming Friday SRK’s Jab Harry Met Sejal is ready to hijack box office.
Young-at-60 Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’cruz and Athiya Shetty starrer Mubarakan was released with decent buzz and received positive reviews from everyone including critics. With good word of mouth, the movie registered decent opening weekend despite an average opening.
On Friday, this romantic comedy drama reported an average occupancy across the country and did the business of only 5.16 crores from 2350 screens. Due to weekend and favorable reactions of viewers, it picked up impressively well on Saturday and minted 7.38 crores.
Then on Sunday, Mubarakan witnessed further growth and garnered the business of 10.37 crores. After the opening weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 22.91 crores which is good enough after an average and below expected opening.
Now it is running in weekdays and with considerable drop on Monday, Sony Pictures Networks Productions & Cine 1 Studios’ production did the business of 3.55 crores. On Tuesday, the movie added the amount of 3.45 crores to it’s account with slight dip.
Then on the next day i.e. Wednesday, Mubarakan faced slight more decline in footfalls and scored 3 crores to raise it’s 6 days total collection to 32.91 crores at domestic box office. With this trend, Anil-Arjun Kapoor starrer is likely to god past 35.50 crores by this week on Indian screens.
