Superstar Salman Khan’s recent collaboration with Katrina Kaif, Tiger Zinda Hai is soaring at box office from the first day of release. As a result by it’s sixth day, the film has surpassed the lifetime total of Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone starrer 2013’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (188.57 crores) along with 2015’s Bajirao Mastani (184.20 crores) and 2014’s Bang Bang (181.03 crores).
Being the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, the action thriller Tiger Zinda Hai was released with huge hype among fans and as expected opened to a humongous note. Also it received positive reviews from critics as well as audience and gained good word of mouth.
Due to high recall value and solid Salman factor, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial got a phenomenal start and did the business of 34.10 crores, which is the best of 2017 in Bollywood. With this, it has become the sixth best opener of all time in Hindi cinema and third best of Salman Khan‘s career.
Then over the weekend, Tiger Zinda Hai witnessed remarkable growth in occupancy and raked the business of 35.30 crores on Saturday and 45.53 crores on Sunday. After the opening weekend, total collection of the film was recorded as 114.93 crores at domestic box office from 4600 screens.
Now this YRF’s biggie is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. On Monday, due to Christmas holiday TZH remained super strong and registered the business of 36.54 crores. While on Tuesday, it collected 21.60 crores with 36.66% of drop than Friday.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Tiger Zinda Hai dropped further and minted the amount of 17.55 crores. With the end of 6th day, total collection of the film has become 190.62 crores, so now it has emerged as 15th highest grosser of all time in Hindi cinema.
