India’s one of the most popular and bankable superstar Akshay Kumar’s latest offering Toilet Ek Prem Katha is reigning at box office. After an impressive weekend, it is heading strongly in weekdays as well and all set to emerge as the fifth consecutive 100 crore grosser of the actor in several days.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha was released on Friday with huge excitement of fans and fortunately it got succeed to impress everyone with it’s solid content. As a result, the movie showed excellent growth over the weekend and has good hold over the audience in weekdays as well.
Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer TEPK is the first Hindi movie since Baahubali 2 which started the journey on a desired note. On the opening day, it did the business of 13.10 crores and registered the 6th highest of 2017 so far in Hindi cinema.
Due to positive word of mouth, this satirical romantic drama picked up impressively well from the next day and garnered the business of 17.10 crores on Saturday and 21.25 crores on Sunday. After the opening weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 51.45 crores.
Now Toilet Ek Prem Katha is running in weekdays and still getting good response across the country. On Monday due to partial holiday, it minted the amount of 12 crores. Then on Tuesday there was a holiday due to Independence Day, so Akshay-Bhumi starrer once again took excellent jump and raked 20 crores.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday being normal working day, TEPK witnessed around 46% of drop than Monday and added the amount of 6.50 crores to it’s account. With this total 6 days collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha has become 89.95 crores at domestic box office.
