7th Day Box Office Collection: Housefull 4 Emerges Hit, Saand Ki Aankh & Made In China Remain Low

Despite the negative reaction from many critics, the latest Hindi offering Housefull 4 has got excellent support from the audience and emerged a hit. Within a week, it has become the 4th highest-grossing film of superstar Akshay Kumar by surpassing Toilet Ek Prem Katha (134.20 crores) and 12th highest of the year by dominating Gully Boy (140.25 crores).

Directed by Farhad Samji, the latest instalment of the franchise Housefull had started its journey at a very good note despite the mixed word of mouth & pre-Diwali phase. Remaining steady throughout the weekend, it did the business of 53.22 crores that included 19.08 crores on Friday, 18.81 crores on Saturday, and 15.33 crores on Sunday.

After Diwali, as expected Housefull 4 had witnessed a huge jump and raked the business of 34.56 crores on Monday. Maintaining the same pace, the film had minted 24.04 crores on Tuesday and 16.35 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, after a normal drop in footfalls, it has managed to collect the amount of 13.14 crores.

After a week, the total collection of Sajid Nadiadwala’s production has become 141.31 crores nett at the domestic box office from 3900 screens. As per the trend, the film is expected to remain strong in the second weekend as well despite the new Hindi release Ujda Chaman.

In parallel, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh had bagged the amount of only 2.47 crores in the weekend despite positive reviews. After Diwali, on weekdays, the film had picked up and minted 3.19 crores on Monday, 2.85 crores on Tuesday, 1.63 crores on Wednesday & 1.54 crore on Thursday. After 7 days, its total collection has become 11.68 crores nett.

While Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy’s Made In China had performed slightly better and did the business of 3.75 crores in the weekend. Then on weekdays, it had garnered 3 crores on Monday, 1.75 crores on Tuesday, 1.10 crore on Wednesday & 0.90 crore on Thursday. With this, its one week total collection has become 10.50 crores nett.
