After an excellent opening weekend, Hollywood biggie Mission: Impossible – Fallout has remained strong throughout and registered a strong first week at the Indian box office. Due to a super-positive word of mouth, it has successfully dominated all the new & existing Hindi offerings in parallel.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the sixth installment of the popular American action spy thriller franchise Mission: Impossible. With its solid plot and edge-of-the-seat thrilling actions & stunts, the movie has received rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience globally including India.
Being backed by the big franchise, Christopher McQuarrie’s directorial was released amid the huge excitement and as expected opening on an impressive note across the country. By witnessing remarkable growth over the weekend, it did the business of 43.76 crores nett (56.10 crores gross) that included 10.53 crores of Friday, 12.99 crores of Saturday & 20.24 crores of Sunday.
Then on weekdays despite a usual drop in footfalls, MI6 raked the business of 5.79 crores on Monday, 5.50 crores on Tuesday, and 4.75 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, it minted the amount of 4.28 crores and raised its one week total collection to 64.28 crores nett (82.41 crores gross).
On the other hand, with mixed reviews Hindi crime thriller Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 did the business of 4.40 crores in the first weekend with 1.25 crores on Friday, 1.55 crores on Saturday, and 1.60 crores on Sunday. Then on weekdays, it recorded a considerable drop but somehow managed to remain steady on a low note.
Tigmanshu Dhulia’s directorial minted the amount of 0.60 crore on Monday, 0.57 crore on Tuesday and 0.50 crore on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, with a further dip, it collected 0.45 crore and raised its one week domestic total to 6.52 crores nett.
While the third one Nawabzaade remained low throughout the week and registered the business of 3.25 crores nett that included 1.95 crores of the weekend (Fri 0.45cr, Sat 0.60cr, Sun 0.90cr) and 1.25 crores of weekdays (Mon 0.35cr, Tue 0.35cr, Wed 0.30cr, Thu 0.30cr).
