7th Day Box Office Collection: Mission Mangal crosses 121 Crores, Batla House 62 Crores

After a fabulous opening weekend, Fox Star Studios’ presentation Mission Mangal is heading strongly on weekdays and has emerged as the 7th highest grosser of superstar Akshay Kumar by surpassing the lifetime total of Jolly LLB 2 (117 crores). The adjacent Hindi release Batla House is also running steadily with a decent pace on weekdays.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, India’s first Hindi space film has expectedly impressed almost everyone and gathered a solid word of mouth. As a result, in the 4-days extended weekend, it has raked the business of 97.56 crores that included 29.16 crores on Thursday, 17.28 crores on Friday, 23.58 crores on Saturday & 27.54 crores on Sunday.

Mission Mangal had entered on weekdays at a good note despite a usual drop in footfalls and did the business of 8.91 crores on Monday. With a further decline, the film had bagged 7.92 crores on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, it managed to collect 6.84 crores and raised 7 days total collection to 121.23 crores nett.

On the other hand, John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer action thriller Batla House has also received mostly positive reviews from critics as well as the audience. But still, it had remained underperformed in the opening weekend and did the business of 47.99 crores with 15.55 crores on Thursday, 8.84 crores on Friday, 10.90 crores on Saturday & 12.70 crores on Sunday.

Then on weekdays, after a significant drop in footfalls, Nikkhil Advani’s directorial had scored 5.05 crores on Monday & 4.78 crores on Tuesday. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Batla House has minted the amount of 4.24 crores and raised 7 days total domestic collection to 62.06 crores nett.
