Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor starrer War is enjoying an exceptional run at the box office since its release. After registering the biggest opening weekend of the year so far in Hindi Cinema, the film has now joined the 200-crore club within a week.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the Hindi action-thriller has expectedly got succeed to impress many in theatres across the country with its high-octane stunts and gathered a solid word of mouth. From critics as well, it has received mostly positive reviews.
War was opened on Wednesday at a fantastic note and had registered the biggest opening of all time in Hindi Cinema with 53.35 crores. Afterwards, it had witnessed a usual drop in footfalls and did the business of 24.35 crores on Thursday, 22.45 crores on Friday, 28.70 crores on Saturday & 37.40 crores on Sunday.
The film is now running on weekdays but still maintaining a superb pace and had minted the amount of 20.60 crores on Monday. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it took a jump due to Dussehra holiday and bagged 28.90 crores nett. After 7 days, its total collection has become 216.65 crores nett including Hindi (208.05 crores), Tamil & Telugu (8.60 crores).
On the other hand, the Telugu biggie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is struggling for the desired performance in the North. In the 5-days extended opening weekend, it had raked only 7.50 crores from its Hindi version. Chiranjeevi & Amitabh Bachchan starrer is now running on weekdays at a low note.
On Monday, Sye Raa had managed to collect 0.75 crore, while collected 1 crore on Tuesday due to public holiday. After 7 days, the total collection of the film has become 9.25 crores nett at the domestic box office. In the South, it is running phenomenally well.
