7th Day Collection of Mubarakan, Earns Over 35.50 Crore Total in One Week Domestically

Last Friday released romantic comedy drama Mubarakan brought uncle-nephew duo aka Anil Kapoor & Arjun Kapoor together for the first time and received favorable response from everyone across India. As a result it reported decent business total in the opening weekend despite an average opening.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Mubarakan has marked as clean-family-entertainer by most of the critics and and performed steadily in weekdays. But still it is far away from the shore to be on safe side and also in the second week, it will have the highly awaited romantic drama Jab Harry Met Sejal of superstar Shahrukh Khan in opposite.

Due to positive word of mouth, Mubarakan witnessed impressive growth over the opening weekend and did the business of 22.91 crores, that included 5.16 crores on Friday, 7.38 crores on Saturday and 10.37 crores on Sunday from 2350 screens across the country.

Then in weekdays, the movie dropped by considerable rate but still managed to remain decent at box office. On Monday being normal working day, it recorded 31.20% of drop in footfalls than Friday and added the amount of 3.55 crores to it’s account.

With further fall, Mubarakan raked the business of 3.45 crores on Tuesday and 3 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, Arjun-Anil-Ileana-Athiya starrer faced more drop and collected the amount of 2.75 crores.

With this trend, Mubarakan has garnered the business of 35.66 crores after one week of release at domestic box office, which is decent but not enough to mark it as successful venture. Let see how it will perform in opposite to SRK-Anushka’s JHMS from this Friday.
