Last Friday released two notable movies, Ittefaq and Thor Ragnarok have completed their first week on decent and good note respectively. Both the offerings have received positive reviews from critics as well as audience across the country and remained steady in weekdays because of that.
Directed by Taika Waititi, third installment of Marvel’s very popular franchise Thor was released with high buzz and as expected opened to a solid note. Because of favorable word of mouth, it remained strong throughout the opening weekend and did the business of 27.66 crores that included 7.77 crores of Friday, 9.43 crores of Saturday and 10.46 crores of Sunday.
Then in weekdays as well, Thor Ragnarok showed almost good performance and minted the amount of 4.10 crores on Monday, 3.20 crores on Tuesday and 2.87 crores on Wednesday. On the last day i.e. Thursday with further drop, this sci-fi fantasy raked the business of 2.54 crores.
With this, total one week collection of Thor Ragnarok has become 40.37 crores nett. at Indian box office. Talking about the gross collection, then it has crossed the mark of 50 crores by scoring the business of 51.84 crores.
On the other hand, Abhay Chopra’s directorial Ittefaq was released opposite to it with decent buzz, has also received positive remarks from critics as well as audience. But due to clutter, it remained lower than Thor Ragnarok and did the business of 16.05 crores in the weekend, including 4.05 crores of Friday, 5.50 crores of Saturday and 6.50 crores of Sunday.
Then in weekdays, asusual Ittefaq faced considerable drop in footfalls but remained steady throughout and bagged the amount of 2.25 crores on Monday, 2 crores on Tuesday and 1.75 crore on Wednesday. On Thursday with further dip, the film added 1.60 crore raised it’s 1 week total collection to 23.65 crores domestically.
