7th Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Akshay-Bhumi Starrer Crosses 96 Crore in 1 Week

Last Friday released much anticipated Hindi movie Toilet Ek Prem Katha, has passed it’s opening week on an excellent note. Due to it’s solid content and brilliant performances, this satirical romantic drama gained positive word of mouth and as a result remained strong throughout at box office.

Superstar Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet Ek Prem Katha received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as audience. Inspired by the true incidents, it endorses Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of prime minister Narendra Modi and being appreciated by everyone across the globe.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, TEPK started the journey on a desired note and emerged as the 6th highest opening movie of the year so far in Hindi cinema. With an impressive growth over the weekend it did the business of 51.45 crores, that included 13.10 crores of Friday, 17.10 crores of Saturday and 21.25 crores of Sunday.

Then in weekdays too the movie remained strong due to holidays and positive reactions from viewers. On Monday Akshay-Bhumi starrer minted the amount of 12 crores while on Tuesday it once again took fair growth due to Independence Day’s holiday and raked the business of 20 crores.

On the next day i.e. Wednesday being normal working day, Toilet Ek Prem Katha got lesser footfalls in theaters than weekend but still maintained a good pace and added 6.50 crores to it’s account. With slight further drop, it garnered the business of 6.10 crores on Thursday and raised it’s one week total collection to 96.05 crores at domestic box office.

With this, TEPK has surpassed the lifetime total of Akshay Kumar‘s 2015 released Singh Is Bliing (90.25 crores) & Baby (95.56 crores) and emerged as his 8th highest grossing movie so far.
