7th Day Collection of Tumbbad, Helicopter Eela, Jalebi & FryDay, 1st Week Business Report

After an average opening weekend, last Friday release horror fantasy Tumbbad has remained steady on weekdays and passed a week on an overall decent note. While the rest offerings got failed to attract enough audience toward theaters and crashed within a weekend.

Presented by Aanand L Rai, Tumbbad received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience due to its intriguing story-line. At the weekend, it did the business of 3.25 crores, while on weekdays at a steady note, it collected 0.70 crore on Monday, 0.72 crore on Tuesday, 0.72 crore on Wednesday & 0.46 crore on Thursday to raise a week total to 5.85 crores.

Kajol starrer drama Helicopter Eela has received mixed reviews from the critics but didn’t divert enough audience and did the business of 3.10 crores in the opening weekend. Then on weekdays, it got dropped abruptly and raked 0.40 crore on Monday, 0.35 crore on Tuesday, 0.30 crore on Wednesday & 0.20 crore on Thursday to raise its 7 days total to 4.35 crores.

Mahesh Bhatt’s presentation Jalebi starring Rhea Chakraborty & Varun Mitra starrer has also received mixed reviews and remained low throughout. In the opening week, it did the business of 1.70 crores only and on weekdays managed to collect 0.25 crore on Monday, 0.20 crore on Tuesday, 0.20 crore on Wednesday & 0.10 crore on Thursday. After a week, its total collection has become 2.45 crores.

The last one which has got the least response is Govinda & Varun Sharma starrer FryDay. In the opening week, it registered the business of 1.20 crores. Then on weekdays, the movie bagged 0.15 crore on Monday, 0.05 crore on Tuesday, 0.05 crore on Wednesday & 0.05 crore on Thursday. With this, its one week total collection has become 1.50 crores.
