Last week released English offering Justice League and Vidya Balan starrer Hindi film Tumhari Sulu have completed it’s opening week on a good note at Indian box office, while the third one Aksar 2 has got failed to impress viewers and remained dull throughout it’s journey so far.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, the Hindi comedy drama Tumhari Sulu started it’s journey on an average note but picked up very well from the next day because of positive word of mouth. It did the business of 12.87 crores in the opening weekend, that included 2.87 crores on Friday, 4.61 crores on Saturday and 5.39 crores on Sunday.
Then in weekdays, the film witnessed usual drop in footfalls but still managed to remain steady. With around 36% of dip, Tumhari Sulu registered the business of 1.84 crore on Monday, 1.85 crore on Tuesday and 1.67 crore on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, it minted 1.55 crore and raised one week total collection to 19.78 crores.
On the other hand, Warner Bros & DC’s presentation Justice League reported excellent performance from the very first day despite being released only in English and did the business of 18.25 crores in the opening weekend, that included 5.25 crores on Friday, 6.25 crores on Saturday and 6.75 crores on Sunday.
Then in weekdays, it faced some drop and minted the amount of 2 crores on Monday, 2 crores on Tuesday and 1.45 crore on Wednesday. With further drop, Justice League raked the business of 1.30 crore on Thursday and raised it’s one week total collection to 25 crores.
While Ananth Narayan Mahadevan’s directorial Aksar 2 received unfavorable remarks from everyone and did the business of 2.90 crores in the opening weekend, that included 0.80 crore on Friday, 1 crore on Saturday and 1.10 crore on Sunday.
In weekdays, Zareen Khan starrer Aksar 2 dropped by considerable rate but remained steady and bagged the amount of 0.60 crore on Monday, 0.60 crore on Tuesday, 0.60 crore on Wednesday and 0.60 crore on Thursday. With this, total collection of the film has become 5.30 crores.
