After an excellent opening week, the highly-awaited Housefull 4 has started the second week at a good note. Despite the mixed word of mouth and the new Hindi release Ujda Chaman, Akshay Kumar starrer is still the first choice of the viewers and reigning the box office in mass centres.
Directed by Farhad Samji, the fourth instalment of the franchise Housefull has unfortunately received mostly negative reviews from critics but still getting solid support from the audience. In the first week, it did the business of 141.31 crores that included 53.22 crores in the weekend and 88.09 crores on weekdays from 3900 screens.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 4 has now entered in the second weekend with a good hold over the audience. On 2nd Friday, the film has witnessed a usual drop in footfalls and managed to collect 8.05 crores. After 8 days, its total collection has become 149.36 crores nett at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh had remained under-performed throughout the first week despite positive reviews and did the business of 11.68 crores. Now on 2nd Friday, by remaining almost steady due to positive word of mouth, it has raked 1.28 crore and raised 8 days total collection to 12.96 crores nett.
In parallel, Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer Made In China had started slightly better but eventually lagged behind and did the business of 10.50 crores in the first week. On 2nd Friday, it has dropped further and minted 0.55 crore. After 8 days, the total collection of the film has become 11.05 crores nett.
