8th Day Collection of Jagga Jasoos- Ranbir Kapoor’s Film Drops Further on 2nd Friday

Last week released musical adventure Hindi film Jagga Jasoos has lost much of it’s hold over the audience within the opening week. After the good opening weekend, it got failed to stay steady in weekdays due to mixed reviews from critics as well as audience and completed the first week on a lower note than expected.

Everyone liked the performances and chemistry of lead stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the film, but still it got crashed abruptly in weekdays. Jagga Jasoos did the business of 46.29 crores in the first week, that included 33.17 crores of weekend and 13.12 crores of weekdays from 1800 screens across the country.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos got delayed several times due to certain reasons, that hiked it’s budget to 110 crores unnecessarily. This is why, the film was required to be steady in weekdays as well but unfortunately it got failed and now doesn’t seem to rake much in the second week due to having newly released Munna Michael in competition.

On second Friday, Ranbir-Katrina starrer recorded further drop in footfalls and garnered the business of 1.44 crore with around 43% of decline than previous day. With this, total 8 days collection of the film has become 47.73 crores at domestic box office.

As Munna Michael is not getting much response in multiplexes, so there is a chance for Jagga Jasoos to increase it’s business total by decent rate in the second weekend. Let see how long it will run, so far it looks like another flop of the year from Bollywood.
