9th Day Collection of Spyder, Grosses Over 115 Crore Total in an Extended 1st Week Worldwide

Film industry’s one of the promising directors AR Murugadoss’ recent Telugu/Tamil venture Spyder opened to an excellent note and also remained strong throughout the extended opening weekend. But later due to mixed reviews and having Jai Lava Kusa in opposite, it witnessed abrupt drop in footfalls across India.

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer spy thriller was released with huge buzz among fans as well as audience and as expected received overwhelmed response from them. Unfortunately the movie got failed impress all the critics, but still registered good performance at box office so far.

In the 5-days extended opening weekend, Spyder reported excellent performance and did the business of total 100.10 crores globally, that included 51 crores of Wednesday, 18 crores of Thursday, 11 crores of Friday, 10.25 crores of Saturday and 11 crores of Sunday.

In this time span, Spyder raked total 49 crores gross from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana alone, that included 23.40 crores of Wednesday, 7 crores of Thursday, 6 crores of Friday, 6.25 crores of Saturday and 6.35 crores of Sunday from around 1000 screens.

On Monday, the movie faced heavy drop but still remained decent due to Gandhi Jayanti holiday and minted the amount of 5.90 crores globally (4 crores of AP/TS). Then with further drops, it collected 4 crores (2.75 crores of AP/TS) on Tuesday and 3.25 crores (2.25 crores of AP/TS) on Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. Thursday, Spyder showed more dip and grossed the business of 2.50 crores (2 crores of AP/TS). After 9-days extended opening week, total collection of the movie has become 115.75 crores gross at worldwide box office, including 57.25 crores from Telugu states.
