Since after the under-performed opening weekend, superstar Salman Khan’s highly awaited offering Tubelight is falling down at box office. Although it completed the week on a good-enough note but as compare to his enormous stardom, it has disappointed everyone.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight unfortunately got failed to impress critics as well as audience. Most of the critics have not found it up to the mark and rated it with low stars. As a result, the film has crashed too early at box office.
After registering the second highest opening of the year so far in Hindi cinema, Tubelight remained almost flat over the weekend and did the business of 64.77 crores, that included 21.15 crores of Friday, 21.17 crores of Saturday and 22.45 crores of Sunday.
Then on Monday, due to Eid holiday the film was expected to take jump. But because of audience denial, it raked the business of 19.09 crores on it’s fourth day. With further heavy drops, Tubelight managed to collect the amount of 12 crores on Tuesday, 6.50 crores on Wednesday and 4.50 crores on Thursday.
After a week, total collection of Salman Khan starrer was recorded as 106.86 crores from 4350 screens across India. Now the film has been entered in the second week and has highly buzzed Transformers The Last Knight in opposite. On second Friday, it faced more drop than previous day and raked the business of 2.15 crores.
On the next day i.e. Saturday being weekend, Tubelight witnessed little jump and garnered the business of 2.80 crores. With this, total collection of the film has become 111.81 crores at domestic box office.
