9th Day: Neerja Total Collection, Dominates New Releases in its 2nd Weekend

‘Neerja’ Gets Impressive Response in 2nd Weekend too!

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is flying high on buzz these days, due to her latest thriller film ‘Neerja’. She has given remarkable performance in the film and is being appreciated for this by everyone. Neerja, the true heroic story based flick has been released last week with good hype among audience and had taken an excellent start at box office. And due to its strong content and performance of star cast, it has received super positive reviews from critics as well as entire film industry. Which has generated strong word of mouth about it and attracting more audience toward theaters.

In its opening week, Neerja had witnessed outstanding audience response and raked the business of total 35.32 crores, that includes 22.01 crores of weekend and 13.31 crores of weekdays. Not only at domestic box office but in overseas too, it has done quite well business and already grossed over 50 crores at worldwide box office. Now the film has entered in the second week and positively expected to cross the mark of 50 crore by this week.

On its second Friday, Ram Madhvani’s directorial Neerja had witnessed almost similar response as Thursday and minted the amount of 3.15 crores on Indian screens. In this week, screen count of the film has increased to 900 from 700 and getting better response than new releases- Tere Bin Laden:Dead or Alive, Aligarh, Bollywood Diaries etc. On Saturday being partial holiday, it has received higher response than Friday and collected the amount of 5 crores. Till its 9th day, total collection of Neerja is recorded as 43.47 crores.
