‘Airlift’ heading towards breaking the record of Holiday
The recently released Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Airlift’ is still soaring at box office and grossing decent business figures at box office in India as well as overseas. The film was released on 22nd January with huge excitement of audience and has received overwhelmed response as expected earlier. Critics have reviewed it with super positive comments and showed big thumb up to this war thriller. As a result of these positive reactions, Airlift has registered the highest opening week collection of Akshay’s career.
Raja Krishna Menon’s directorial this Film had received tremendous response in its first week and minted the business of total 83.50 crores, that includes 44.30 crores of weekend and 39.20 crores of weekdays. Now it is about to complete its second week too and did the business of total 19.26 crores in the weekend, that includes 4.50 crores of Friday, 6.50 crores of Saturday and 8.26 crores of Sunday. Till the 10th day, Airlift raked the business of 35.23 crores from its overseas screens.
Now again being normal working days, the film is receiving lesser occupancy in theaters as compare to weekend. But still Airlift grossing decent business figures and heading towards dominating the lifetime domestic record of Holiday. On Monday, it faced the drop of more than 50% than previous day and minted 2.53 crores as its 11th day collection.
On the next day, it witnessed almost similar response and collected slightly higher amount of 2.61 crores on Indian screens. On Wednesday, it reported slight drop in its business and minted the amount of 2.40 crores as its 13th day collection. Till the end of the day, total domestic collection of Airlift is recorded as 110.30 crores.
