Akshay Kumar’s Airlift, still grosses well!
Last month released true story based war thriller film ‘Airlift’ is still grossing well at box office. Despite of new releases the film has enough hold over audience and getting good response. Superstar Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer Airlift has received very positive reviews from critics. Audience find it very gripping and strong, as a result it has become fourth film of Akshay to enter in 100 crore club and second highest grosser of his career after Rowdy Rathore. The film has given superb start to Bollywood this year and still heading to set more records.
In the first week, Airlift raked the business of total 83.50 crores on Indian screens that includes 44.30 crores of weekend and 39.20 crores of weekdays. In the second week too, it performed well and minted total 28.79 crores, that includes 19.26 crores of weekend and 9.53 crores of weekdays. Till the end of two weeks, total collection of Airlift was recorded as 112.29 crores.
Now it is running in third week and giving healthy competition to new releases. On Friday, it witnessed almost similar response as Thursday and did the business of 2.03 crores. Then on Saturday, it showed little rise ans minted 3.04 crores as its 16th day collection. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it received slightly better than last two days and done the business of 3.34 crores. Till the end of its 17th day, total collection of Airlift is recorded as 120.70 crores at domestic box office.
