‘Airlift’ gets low but steady business!
Year 2016’s first film of superstar Akshay Kumar, Airlift has crossed the mark of 200 crores at worldwide within three weeks of release. The film has showed tremendous performance through out its journey till yet and still heading to set new peak for Akshay. Airlift has received super positive reviews from critics as well as audience because of its strong content and the brilliant performances by lead stars. It has registered number of recorded at box office and still grossing well despite of new releases.
The film did the business of total 112.29 crores in its first two weeks after release on Indian screens, that includes 83.50 crores of first week and 28.79 crores of second week. Now it is running in its third week and raked the business of 8.41 crores in weekend that includes 2.03 crores of Friday, 3.04 crores of Saturday and 3.34 crores of Sunday. As per report, till the end of the 17th day it recorded the collection of 41.25 crores on overseas screens.
In weekdays, as usual the film has started facing lower occupancy in theaters but still has some hold over audience. On Monday, it did the business of only 1.04 crore with more than 50% of drop. Then on Tuesday, it witnessed almost similar response and minted 0.91 crore as its 19th day collection. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Airlift added 0.83 crore* to its account and made its 20 days domestic total as 123.48 crores*.
