Airlift 5th Day Collection, Crosses 70 Cr on Indian Screens

‘Airlift’ takes Box Office by Storm!

Most busy actor in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has recently offered his first film of the year Airlift. It is based on the real story of 1990, when Iraq invaded Kuwait. The film had huge pre-release hype among audience and as per expectations, started on an excellent at box office. Airlift is being loved by everyone and has received very positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers, which has boosted up its buzz across the globe. Audience is showing extreme craze towards the film and appreciating the flawless efforts of the entire team behind it.

On Indian screens, Airlift has minted the collection of 44.30 crores as weekend total, that includes 12.35 crores of Friday, 14.60 crores of Saturday and 17.35 crores of Sunday. Not only in India but in overseas too, it is doing very well and grossed the total of 18.86 crores till its opening weekend. Now the film is running in weekdays and being normal working days, it is getting lesser audience in theaters than weekend. But due to strong word of mouth, Airlift is still heading smoothly and has complete hold over audience.

On Monday it witnessed the drop of around 40% in its occupancy than previous day, but still did the business of 10.40 crores. On Tuesday being the Republic Day of India, Airlift has recorded excellent growth in its business and raked the amount of 17.80 crores as its 5th day collection. Till the end of the day, total 5 days collection of the film at domestic box office is calculated as 72.50 crores. It is aiming to cross the mark of 90 crores till this week from Indian screens.
