Last week released latest collaboration of superstar Akshay Kumar and T-Series, Airlift is still has good hold over audience across the country. The film was released on 22nd January at box office with huge excitement of fans and audience. It has received very positive reviews from all the critics as well as moviegoers. The super positive response has generated strong word of mouth for Airlift and made it to register Akshay Kumar’s highest opening week collection record. Everyone find this true story based thriller film very gripping and appreciating the performance of entire star cast, especially the lead star Akshay.

Airlift did very impressive business of 83.50 crores in the opening week from India that includes 44.30 crores of weekend and 39.20 crores of weekdays. With this figure, it has dominated the first week collection record of Akshay’s very successful film Rowdy Rathore. Not only in India but in overseas too, the film is doing quite well and raked the business of 26.53 crores from there in last week.

Now Airlift has entered in the second week and competing with new releases like Mastizaade and Saala Khadoos. Both the films are getting decent response at box office but still mostly audience preferring Akshay’s starrer over these. This is nothing but the power of content, which is attracting audience towards itself. On its second Friday, Airlift was witnessed almost similar response as Thursday and minted the amount of 4.50 crores.

On Saturday being weekend, it has recorded decent rise in its business and added 6.50 crores to its account. Till the end of its 9th day, total collection of the film is calculated as 94.50 crores. Now just a day away and it will touch the mark of 100 crores at domestic box office also.
