Forthcoming Tamil action dose Ajith Kumar starrer Vedalam and Kamal Haasan starrer Thoongavanam (Tamil) which is crime thriller, are slated to release this Diwali on box office with much buzz. As both the films are going to hit on same day hence audiences as well as critics are excited to see how both go on finally after release. The clash is not only in between two movies but it is father versus daughter. Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan is playing lead role in Vedalam. Coming to the performance of these films, then let’s have a clear look on each film’s specification one by one together opposite each other.

vedalam vs thoongavanam

Starcast

Talking about the star cast of the films then though Vedalam is also at all a super star casted film and popularity wise it stands almost near Thoongavanam. Where Vedalam star cast – Ajith Kumar with Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon and Ashwin; Thoongavanam leads Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Kishore and Asha Sarath. Hence star power wise both films rocks but and no one lags behind.

Story

Story of both the films is totally different and hence in a way it differentiates or divides the audience very smoothly i.e. thriller loving audience for Thoongavanam and action cum masala entertainer for Vedalam. Where Thoongavanam describes a thrilling and crime based story with a unique suspense on the other side Vedalam takes audience to a complete action dosage like a typical Tamil movie. So basically both films are targeted for different types of audience.

Screen Count

Screens depend largely on budget and cost also and it is quite obvious that production cost of Thoongavanam than Vedalam are quite near and as are the number of screens. Now screens immensely affect the collection and performance hence it is also quite obvious that due to decent number of screens Thoongavanam will clash strongly with Vedalam.

At the end, both these movies are quite an equal competition to each other with expected high performance and response from audience.
